Epoxy concrete sealers are the most durable, making them good for sealing garage floors and high-traffic retail environments. Softer acrylic sealers, which require a sacrificial floor wax, are more affordable and popular for residential concrete floors, including basements.
Above, how do you seal patterned concrete?
Furthermore, is it better to spray or roll concrete sealer? “Certain sealers are better applied by spray because they are not formulated for rolling,” says Dean Owen, president of Arizona Polymer Flooring Inc. in Glendale, Ariz. “This is usually a function of the solvents used in the formulation. Slow-evaporating solvents are better for rolling.

TriNova Granite Sealer & Protector Gallon Refill- Made in USA, Best Stone Polish, Protectant & Care Product - Easy Maintenance for Clean Countertop Surface, Marble, Tile
✅ Professional Quality Stone Care – TriNova’s Granite Sealer & Protectant offers a premium sealant and caring solution for your premium stone surfaces, including marble. Whether you’re looking for a sealing product for the first time or a resealer for long-lasting protection, this product can give your granite surfaces the before and after results you want to see. Great for Quartz, Marble, Granite, Quartzite, and Soapstone.
✅ Advanced-Action Stain Protection – This spray uses a powerful blend of polymers to penetrate the stone’s naturally porous surface to block out stains from seeping in and becoming permanent. By doing this, TriNova’s Granite Sealer also provides a protective layer on top of the granite to prevent water spotting and to keep other residue from sticking.
✅ Enhancing Formula for Gloss & Shine – TriNova’s Granite Sealer & Protectant is essential when the time comes to treat all types of stone and to enhance surfaces for a polished and natural look. It also works miracles on grout to guard against stains that develop between your shower or bath tiles that can be the most difficult to remove with your hands and a sponge, no matter how hard you scrub.
✅ Do the Water Test - The best test to see if your granite needs to be sealed is to put drops of water in certain sections of your granite and wait 30 minutes. If the granite absorbs the water, you need to reseal. If not, your granite is protected. However, we still recommend using the Granite Sealer at least once a month to prevent stains from happening in the future.
✅ Trust TriNova - Our products are MADE IN THE USA. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you aren't absolutely satisfied with your TriNova purchase, just tell us and we'll refund the purchase price. That's how much we believe in our products!

Typically, it can take anywhere from 10-12 hours to dry before being able to be walked on, but they will continue to harden for up to 48 hours after being applied. Concrete sealed with a urethane coating should not be walked on (with the exception of a recoat), driven on, or wet for at least 36-48 hours.
Is Stamped Concrete Slippery? ... Stamped concrete is not much different from regular concrete when it comes to slip-resistance. The difference is in the sealer used. Outdoor decorative concrete is typically sealed with a clear acrylic top coat to repel moisture and enhance the concrete's color.
Both solvent- and water-based sealers can be tinted, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. Some manufacturers offer pretinted sealers, while others provide tint concentrates in a wide array of colors that you can add to a clear sealer at the jobsite.
Before applying a new sealer, it's very important that you make sure the old one is completely gone. This is because any old sealer left on the surface of your concrete can impede the effectiveness of the newly applied sealant, preventing proper adhesion to the concrete surface.
Check for Dampness Before you seal your floor, check to see how damp it is. Tape a small square of clear plastic to the floor using painter's tape. After 24 hours, check the plastic to see if water has condensed underneath it. If so, your floor may be too damp to seal - most sealants must be applied to a dry floor.
Acrylics are a commonly used sealer. They come in solvent-based or water-based formulations (solvent-based products are often preferred). These sealers dry water-clear and are UV-resistant. Acrylic sealers can be brushed, sprayed or rolled on to the concrete.
Waterproofer Plus Masonry Protector. Provides proven waterproofing protection for all masonry surfaces including pavers, brick, concrete, stone, stucco, clay and quarry tile. Use for concrete waterproofing and as a brick sealer.
