You will however build lean muscle that helps to burn body fat (and that is a GOOD THING!!).
Else, is p90x better than p90x3? It can certainly be completed by beginners but P90X3 would be a gentler alternative. If you are looking to grow more muscle then you will get better results with P90X than X3. As far as fat loss, either program will work fine as long as you account for the reduced calorie burn in P90X3 by eating less.

You can definitely see P90X3 results in 30 days, but they won't be as large as they will be in 90 days. You can expect to lose 1-2lbs each week if not a little bit more when you start the workouts and nutrition plan.
Beachbody, the same company that produced P90X, has an alternative workout program called Insanity. Insanity uses all body-weight exercises instead of added weights like P90X. You'll work for three to five minutes at a time before resting, alternating exercises that focus on different areas of your body.
It doesn't, but that's beside the point. A program targeting mass is concerned with one thing: muscle growth (from here on in referred to as hypertrophy), and a lot of it. In a training cycle for mass, we should target hypertrophy even at the expense of other fitness goals. P90X is not a system designed for mass.
Agility X – Consider this one of the hardest cardio workouts within the whole program. Triometrics – This is an insane plyo workout on steroids. You'll feel your leg muscles after this workout. Decelerator – This workout includes explosive movements followed by quick stops.
Obviously, there are better alternatives to cardio if you stick to the Beachbody family of training programs. Yoga - it's 90 minutes, and I hate it. Yes, there are alternatives. Bottom line, P90x is still relevant in 2019.
I honestly think that both are difficult, and each will get you amazing results in a short time if you follow the program. P90X is going to have harder strength training, and Insanity is going to have harder cardio training. Since I enjoy strength training, I found Insanity to be much harder.
